So sorry I've been gone, but I have babies!!

Well, as some of you know I was trying to get a baby through the foster care system and as of about 7 weeks ago I got two beautiful girls. It's been a challenge but I think I've adjusted as well as possible to the lack of sleep involved with having a baby. I'm not going to lie, the first couple of weeks were really rough, but even then I loved it because I was helping out these sweet little girls. Over the last few weeks, things have gotten so much easier. I've even ventured out on my own a couple of times although I try to keep my shopping with the girls down to a minimum. I still have issues getting the two year old to sleep about half of the time but the 9 month is a very sweet baby who goes to sleep well and now sleeps through most of the night. The first couple of weeks I was lucky if I was getting 3 hours of sleep a night but now I'm getting between 5 and 7 hours of sleep. While I'm not sure how long they will be with me, I'm extremely happy to have them here. If they have to go back to their family I will be ready to take on my next kiddos in my quest to bring some lucky kiddos home to their forever home. Needless to say, my house was turned upside down the minute that they walked in the door so I basically had to drop everything in order to survive. I'm so sorry to those of you who won contests and I will do my best to get those prizes out to you in the next couple of days. My goal is to have everything ready to go out by Monday. Thanks in advance for your patience and I hope that you will come back often as I slowly but surely get back to blogging. Trying to get caught up

If you are a fan of my Facebook page, then you know that I've been sick with a terrible sinus infection.  Well, the good news is that I'm still trying to completely knock it and I'm feeling so much better, but the bad news is that I am SO FAR behind on emails and giveaway mailouts.  Please, please bear with me as I try to work through this mess.  I've got some great things lined up for you, but I would love to hear your comments on what you would like to see here on a regular basis.  Besides giveaways, I know you all love giveaways.  :)

In case you've noticed...

Well, in case you've noticed I haven't been on as much this week as normal because I've been having some major computer issues but the good news is that I ordered myself a brand new Dell laptop for my 40th birthday.  I really hated to do it because money has been so tight lately, but I decided that I've got to think positive and live prosperously and the money will come.  I ended up buying it on QVC because with easy pay I was able to get it for $150.00 a month for the next 5 months and would you believe that the same day I ordered it I got several people who are interested in having me build them a blog.  It's amazing what the law of attraction and a lot of praying will do.  :)  Now that 2011 has come to an end, it's time to focus on the positive and move past the negative.  I'm going to be working on a new vision board later this week to help me focus on my goals and be more clear on a plan of action.

So, in addition to buying myself a new laptop my birthday week brought on several events with some of my good friends, dinner with my parents at one of my favorite restaurants, several money making opportunities, and the realization that I really am one very lucky girl to have so many great friends and an amazing family.

Facebook and Twitter Outage

It appears that there is some sort of Facebook and Twitter Outage. I've been trying to log in for the last 20 minutes and it just keeps trying to connect. I've checked the Downrightnow.com website and it is showing a possible outage for Facebook. I will be back later to update. Have a great day! Merry Christmas to you and yours

I hope everyone is enjoying this Christmas Day. It's in the 80's here in Central Florida and I had a fabulous Christmas Dinner up at my mom and dad's house. My brother drove in on Friday night and I hadn't seen him in over 4 years, so it was nice to have all us in one house for a change. However, it would have been even better if I had kids here this Christmas. Oh well, there's always next year and hopefully I will be closer to adoption by that time. At least I have my boys to keep me company and they sure did enjoy their Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers turkey dinner. Now, they are sleeping in their chair. :)
Lots of good things coming up on the blog this week. I'm in the Christmas Letdown Giveaway Hop starting tonight at 12:01, so be sure you check that out. Plus, don't forget to enter my 1000 Fan Giveaway and the Simply Orange Juice Giveaway. Be sure to check out the Important Announcements section of my blog for the latest contest announcements.

Updated Blog Look

I made some changes to the look of my blog tonight and updated some of the sidebar data.  I went back to the old blog template with only two columns on my sidebar and I added the red and green color palette for Christmas.   So, what do you think?

Update from SunEGrl

On August 10th, my beloved Makenzee crossed the Rainbow Bridge after being diagnosed with cancer in January. It's taken me awhile to write this, but I knew some of you would be confused when you read the post about the 9 Lives review and my new kitten. Luckily, I had 7 months to deal with the idea of losing him because we were together just him and I for the last 14 years.

***Makenzee***

Since I haven't been without a cat for over 20 years, I decided that I needed to immediately adopt a new kitten. On August 12th, I picked up my 2.25lb kitten from Seminole County Animal Services and named him Sebastian. When I first saw him, I knew I had to adopt him, he had the biggest eyes and would have jumped right into my arms if he hadn't been in the cage. So I brought him home and he was doing great for a few days with the exception of a cold. That cold quickly turned into pneumonia and he had to be hospitalized for a couple of days or he would have died. It's been a rough couple of months, and I still miss Mak every day but I'm so happy that I now have Sebastian. He is the sweetest little thing(except for when he is scratching me) and I take comfort in the fact that had I not adopted him, he surely would have died for the pneumonia.

***Sebastian***

So, as you can see I've had a good reason for being away from my blog. I promise, I am going to try to update more often from now on.

Crazy January

This has been a crazy month... It started off great, New Years Eve playing Wii at Kelly's, then my birthday celebration at the Beachside Tavern in New Smyrna but then it quickly went downhill from there. On January 9th, there was a small fire at the hotel, luckily no one was hurt and my staff was able to get it out quickly, Then shortly after that mess got cleaned up I started having relationship problems and then I found out that my beloved Makenzee has lung cancer. That along with the everyday stress of being a single homeowner in a down economy is almost more than a girl can take. Luckily, I have a supportive family, great friends who check on me everyday and I am just trying to live each day thankful for an extra day with Makenzee. I think that I need to put more effort into blogging, because I think it would be a great outlet for me so that I'm not focusing on all of the bad things that are happening.

One good thing that happened, was that I finally launched my company. InnSight Services LLC, is officially open for business and will soon be accepting applications for Mystery Shoppers in all areas.

Anyone else having a crazy January?

October has been a busy month

So far this has been a crazy busy month. I returned from my cruise on 10/5, then partied til the wee hours of the morning for the Libra Birthday Weekend on 10/8-10/11, then got so sick that I couldn't talk and was running a fever of 103, and now here we are and it's the 20th of the month. Just two short months and we will be into the height of the Christmas Season. While my weight loss has not been going well, I have recently begun dating someone so I've been staying busy with that as well. He's a very nice guy and I've been trying to spend as much time with him as I can. I have been on a weight loss plateau for about 2 months now and I'm ready to kick things up a notch so that I can wear something cute during the Christmas season. Is it too much to hope to lose 20 pounds by Christmas? I don't know, if I get back into my exercise regimen I think I can do it. Plus, I have to stop going out to dinner so much. Love going out, but hate what the calories are doing to my weight loss plan. So, what are your goals for the upcoming Holiday months? Would love to hear from some of you.

Rough couple of days

Wow, it has been a rough couple of days for me. On Tuesday, I went to an After Hours event and when I returned home I found that I had no water pressure. I called the well repair people the next day and found out that it was going to be $600-$700 for the repair of the jet and they were going to have to pull the well. They ended up having to pull the well by hand because my neighbors wouldn't let them go through their yard so it ended up costing me $902. So now I leave on my cruise in 2 weeks and I will have no spending money to take with me. Looks like I will be drinking iced tea and water the whole time. Luckily, it was paid for long ago or I would have to cancel. In the meantime, I'm so down in the dumps about everything going on that I have been overeating left and right and I've probably gained at least 5 pounds back. I'm back on the wagon tomorrow though.
