Make extra money on Ebay

Awhile back I quit selling on Ebay and closed my store out because it just wasn't worth the time and hassle involved. Even though my store is closed, I have been thinking about getting rid of my italian charm inventory in bits and pieces rather than selling it in one bulk lot. One of the options that I am considering is using a company called isold it. Studies show that the average household has over $2,200 worth of items that are sellable and many homes have much more! I would imagine that I have over $4000 in inventory that I need to get rid of and I can't think of a better way to do it.

I have tried for months to sell my store inventory on Craigs List with only one good lead. The other option would be a garage sale, but the online marketplace dwarfs America's front yards as the best sales location. Ebay reaches millions of people, but you need a little experience in crafting an auction. If you are out of work and are looking for a great way to make some easy money this just might be it.

iSold It is a full service Ebay drop off stores and is available in many locations. Just take your items to the local iSold It store and drop off the items. They take care of it all - taking pics of the item, creating the auction, answering questions, collecting the money, and shipping the product to the winning bidder for a portion of the selling price. They take between 30% -40% commission but so what. You can continue looking for work while they do all the work. For me this would be perfect because I just don't have the time to deal with everything involved in selling my items.

When I was selling on Ebay, I met people who made a living buying items at yard sales or auctions only to turn around and sell them on Ebay.

Did you know that fifteen thousand customers having been paid more than $2 million during the last three years through sales on eBay and other electronic sites? Amazing isn't it?

I will be leaving Ebay on 2/18/08

After 4 years of successful selling on Ebay, I am now forced to close my store due to new guidelines and increased fees. I think it's completely despicable that they put out a message to sellers that they are reducing fees but in reality that was just smoke and mirrors for what they are really doing. I do not agree with the new guidelines, nor do I support it so I will be moving my online store to several smaller sites where I will hopefully become as successful as I once was on Ebay. There are several great sites out there, that provide completely free or economical venues for selling my items. I am looking forward to getting started and hopefully being able to make more money because I will be keeping more of the profit.

Ebay announces changes that will affect sellers

Ebay recently announced a variety of changes that will affect sellers.

1. Reducing insertion fees
2. Free Gallery … on all listings!
3. Reduced Feature Plus and Pro Pack fees
4. Increased listing exposure for sellers with great DSRs
5. Pricing discounts for PowerSellers with great DSRs
6. Protection from chargebacks for PowerSellers
7. All addresses are confirmed addresses for PowerSellers on their eBay listings that are paid with PayPal
8. Unlimited PayPal protection for PowerSellers
9. Repeat Feedback credit
10. Rolling 12-month Feedback Percentage
11. Personalized Seller Dashboard

Changes to fees will take place on February 20, 2008. Most fees are being reduced by .05 cents or more, so this is great news for sellers who concentrate on selling low priced items such as my Italian Charm Bracelets. While seller feedback was already very important, it will now be even more so. Unfortunately, it looks as though there will be the possibility of getting even more unjust feedback. It seems that now a buyer can leave negative feedback for whatever reason, and sellers now have no recourse. In the past, we had the opportunity to do a mutual feedback removal but now this will not be an option. If you are selling on Ebay or are considering doing so, I highly suggest that you check out the announcement in it's entirety.
