Weekend Update

Wow, I can't believe the weekend is almost over. I have to be in early tomorrow morning and I'm working on getting my laundry and everything done so I don't have to worry about it this week. I showed my friends Kim and Len how to start their own blogs today and I've posted links to them on my sidebar. Kim is hosting a blog for updates on our Biggest Loser program from West Volusia County. She's trying to help us stay in touch and stay motivated.

I just finished creating a facebook page for SunEGrl Loves To Shop Blog, but I can't figure out how to do a badge for it. Anyway, if you want to add yourself as a fan all you need to do is search for SunEGrl Loves To Shop Blog. Would love to see you there.

I'm hoping that the plumbing problem at the hotel will get straightened out this week, because I've got some big groups coming up and it's going to be crazy if we have water problems while they are here.

Security is important in this day and age

Wow, every day I hear on the news how there are houses being broken into and the residents are being tied up and robbed, or worse. I honestly can't tell you the last time that I turned on the TV and didn't hear a similar story.

A couple of weeks ago I had my house protected against termites and when I came home I noticed that someone had been in my house. I had stashed a key outside and my assumption is that somehow the key got knocked down and someone found it. I know that my house had been accessed because the toilet seat was up and I live alone. Anyway, so I got new locks put on my doors but I'm still a little wary every time I go to bed. Had I known that wireless security system were so inexpensive, I would have looked into them earlier. Protect America has security systems for as low as $29.95 per month with free installation. For a girl living alone, that is a great bargain. Their copper package includes:

* Talking Control Panel
* 1 Motion Detector
* 3 Entry Points
* Internal Siren and Door Chime
* Battery Backup
* One Button Arming
* 3 Window Decals
* 1 Yard Sign

The Copper Package would fit my house just fine, but for 7 entry points the Bronze is another great value at $34.95 per month. If you are interested in finding out more, I urge you to call Protect America at 877-470-2751.

It's Friday!

I'm so thankful that it's Friday. It's been another rough week, this time with layoffs due to revenues being down and those persistant water problems just are not going away. I even called another plumber in and they are baffled as well. We have pretty much determined that there is cold water going into the hot water line and now we just have to isolate where that is happening.

As I told you last week, I've recently discovered facebook and now I love it! I have been chatting with all of my friends and I can't get enough of this stupid Farm Town game.

Well, anyway now that the weekend is here I'm excited because I have to work tomorrow morning and then I am done. I'm so happy. Then on Sunday, I'm showing some of my friends how to do their own blogs so that they can make money too. Anyone have any fun plans for the weekend?

I love Chili's!

Ok, so I really do love Chili's. Even on a diet, you can still find healthy options at Chili's. Whether it's the Guiltless Grill Chicken Plate or the Classic Sirloin w/Broccoli and Mushrooms, I have always been able to find some that I really enjoy that doesn't break my diet. Plus, when I'm in the mood I can get my drink with one of their awesome margaritas.

Last year, our local Chili's had a major facelift and it really improved the ambiance of the place. I love the blue lights in the bar area and the new wall decor. Chili's Restaurants all over the world are being redone for a number of reason, including this one in Reading UK. According to the Reading Press Release, this restaurant is reopening after a small fire damaged the kitchen in January. The restaurant, which originally opened in 2000, seats 250 guests and employs more than 65 people. It is the most popular Chili's in the UK and is one of seven Chili’s restaurants owned in the UK by U.S.-based Brinker International.

So, if you live in the UK, be sure to print one of Chili's Vouchers for a discount of 25% off parties of 4 or more.

This one here looks a lot like the one in Daytona Beach. Besides the one in Orange City, that one would be my second favorite.

I love wedge heels!

Awhile back, I won a subscription to In Style magazine and since then I've gotten used to looking for trends in fashion. So now that spring is here and summer is right around the corner, I'm starting to see so many great shoes that I love. I have loved wedge heels forever, but this season I'm trending more towards bright colors and cutesy styles rather than just the simple black wedge heel sandal. I love these awesome Stuart Weitzman Wedges that are a beautiful peach and tan color. Even though they have a relatively high heel, they look as though they would be fairly comfortable. According to In Style.com these shoes are one of the Top Spring Accessories for 2009. I think these would be great with everything from jeans to capris and shorts to sun dresses. Is there something that you've noticed for Spring 2009 that you have on your wish list? In addition to a cute pair of wedge heels, I'm also looking for a new spring purse. I've grown very tired of the current one, so I'm looking for something bright and stylish. So, what are you looking for? A new purse, a cute new pair of shoes, a cute sun dress or a new bathing suit. I just bought the new bathing suit, so I'm ok on that one.

I had the strangest dream last night

I dream fairly often and I can usually remember what they are plus or minus a few of the details. Well, as usual, I had a few different dreams last night but one that I remember pretty clearly was that I was bra shopping and I dreamed that I had to go to the Seminole Town Center to find the store that I was looking for. It was so funny, I haven't shopped at Victoria Secret for years but for some reason I was dreaming that I needed bras and for some reason I wanted to only shop there. The place that I normally shop at is only located in Daytona or Altamonte, but for some reason I dreamed that it was in Orange City. I wish it was, but that's beside the point. I think that this all came about because I noticed yesterday that one of my favorites was starting to poke me in the side and I knew that it was going to have to be replaced soon. I know I will probably stop at the store in Daytona on Friday night but I just wanted to show everyone this beautiful bra that I found online. I love the colors, but the price is as usual out of my league.

The Myla Evelyn bra has adjustable straps, a demi sheer mesh detailing and hook-and-eye fastenings at the back. It's made of 73% silk, 20% polyamide, and 7% elastane. Be sure to check out the matching panties too.

I don't think I've ever had a bra that was made of actual silk and I probably never will. Oh well, I guess the point of my dream was that I needed to go bra shopping.
