First 3 hints for the Christmas Scavenger Hunt

 Ok, so if you are wanting to play along in the Christmas Scavenger Hunt here are the first 3 hints. 

1. Originally used to celebrate the coming of winter, this is an evergreen plant that is parasitic to other plants.
2. In the 4th century, Santa Claus was born in what country? 
3. Tell me where did the first Christmas Tree originate.
