Weight Loss and Pushin' It

This week I lost 1.6 pounds, which is a little frustrating because by midweek I had already lost that much so I really feel like the last 2 days really pushed me back. I had Applebees for lunch and Chinese food for dinner, so I did the exact opposite of what I said I was going to do. It's very frustrating! I also haven't been working out as much as I should have because I have a sinus infection and I have been suffering from horrible headaches since Tuesday. I started taking Mucinex D and the headaches have started to subside a little, but I still think I need some antibiotics or something.

For this weeks HFH project, Christie asked us to describe our "push it" moment as related to exercise. This is the same thing that happens in the Biggest Loser workouts when the contestants want to quit and Bob and Jillian push them just a little bit farther. 10 more reps, a little farther on the treadmill etc. Well my "push it" moment is related to my workouts on the treadmill. As I've discussed in previous posts, I can't walk for very long at a time due to pain from shin splints and my stamina level. Since I started walking regularly, I have been trying to push my workouts just a little bit by walking farther each day. When I think I'm ready to quit, I choose a mark on the treadmill path and say that I will quit when I reach that spot. Usually it's at least another 1/2 a lap at least. A couple of times, I have chosen that spot and when I got to it, I push it again and choose another one. It definitely has helped because now I'm not as limited as I was last week and in prior weeks and every day it seems easier.

How did everyone do with their weight loss last week?
