Starting a new business venture...

It's highly possible that my job at the hotel may come to end in the very near future. I had a visit from two gentlemen today and they wanted to see rooms. This is always a sign that the hotel is for sale. I have very strong concerns about working for another owner, and usually when a sale happens they usually fire the current GM and replace them with one of their own. So, this means that I have to now prepare myself for the fact that I may be out of job. If that happens, I actually have a plan. I will concentrate on a business that I have had in mind for several years that will utilize my many years in the Hospitality Business. Once I get everything running, I will make an announcement here and then will hopefully need to hire people in different states to work at home. I am going to start off slow to get some references under my belt, but once I get that I will go after the big fish and that is when I will start hiring. I'm guessing anywhere from 6 months to a year depending on if the sale of the hotel happens. If the sale happens, this will move things along much quicker because I will have more time to devote to it.

I spent 17 years as a restaurant Manager/GM so I will be very interested to see what this new business is. Good Luck and I hope everything works out in your best interest.
