Contest Update

Please be patient with me, I'm trying to get the results of the contest all tallied up but with all of the craziness from the flooding it's been swamped around here. I have been trying to tally them up tonight, but I'm so tired I'm afraid that I might mess it up. I promise that if I can't get everything completed tomorrow that I will get up early and finish it on Saturday morning. How did it get to be Thursday already?

Good news though... One of the senior citizens that was flooded out was staying at our hotel and somehow walked away. They found her behind the Gas Station up to her neck in water. She was very distraught about losing her house and somehow got confused and ended up in the water. Her foot got caught in the weeds so she was stuck in the water for who knows how long. We have her on video leaving the hotel at 9:14am and she was found around 10:00am, so it could have been up to 45 minutes that she had been in there. Luckily I had sent the breakfast bar person to the gas station to look for her and she drove along the water and heard the lady screaming for help. Thanks to Linda, this sweet little lady is alive and was taken to the hospital with only small cuts and scrapes. When I heard that they found someone in the water, the worst came to mind but we were all very lucky. Thank god Linda thought to drive behind the gas station because if she hadn't, the lady might not have been able to hold on for very long. Plus that water is full of snakes and gators.

Thank goodness someone found her! That's so scary!
