Belgians will have more than just chocolates now

Belgian based Inbev has finalized a deal to purchase Anheuser-Busch for $52 billion. I was a little surprised and disappointed at hearing this after seeing commercials this weekend adverting Budweiser as America's beer. I strongly feel that the Board members could have tried harder to keep this an American Icon. Apparently all they cared about was the money that is to be made from the deal. Shame on you! Here we go again losing another American Made Item, possibly losing jobs, the City of St. Louis will probably lose a ton of money.

Budweiser and it's brand hallmarks were an American Icon and I am so disappointed that this will be changing. What about the Clydedales and Sea World and Busch Gardens? What will happen to them? My guess is that they will be sold off after a short time since they are not the big money makers. How does everyone feel about this?

Those of us that live in Williamsburg, VA are worried! We have Water Country, Busch Gardens and the Brewery - alot of revenue generated thru these companies for the city and county. Also the residential area of Kingsmill - which is also a golf resort. Could be serious consequences for this community!!
