Buying My First House

I am at the point in my life where I have decided that it is time to put down roots so today I am doing a last viewing on a house that I am considering buying. This will be my first home purchase, so I am so excited that I can't stand it. It will take a while for me to know if they accept my offer because it is a foreclosure and they willing to accept a short sale but it has to be approved by the bank. If they accept my offer, it will take me at least another 2 weeks to get into the house because it needs all brand new paint, tile and wood flooring, cabinets and appliances. I just can't believe that I am getting such a good deal on this house and that when I am finished I will have a house that has about 20,000 of instant equity. You hear of people doing this all the time, but I never really thought that I could do it.
