Can you imagine....
If every person you know bought a $10.00 toy for a child who may not have any presents to open on Christmas morning? A small doll or action figure would be perfect. I would urge you to check locally for a program that helps your community specifically.
If every person you know donated a small bag of non-perishable items to a food bank so that no child or family has to go hungry this holiday season? Sweet potatoes, green beans, macaroni and cheese, etc. Second Harvest Food Bank is a great program here in Central Florida that helps so many people each year, but they need your help to help others.
If every person you know bought a small gift item for a senior citizen who is living at home alone with no family to care for them or in a nursing home with no-one to visit them? Throws or Blankets, Slippers, toiletries, etc. The Be A Santa To A Senior program is similar to Angel Tree in that you pick up an ornament off of the tree for a specific senior and you buy according to their request.
...This world would be a better place. Please, think about just doing one of these things listed and what it could do for your community and your children. What better way to teach a child about giving and caring.
