Divorce and the Holidays

With the Thanksgiving Holiday almost gone and Christmas around the corner, my thoughts turned to the families who have been hit by divorce or separation. No matter what, divorce is always tough but I think it has to be even more so during the Holidays. When it comes to divorce I think of all of the bad things that can happen, custody fights, child support payments, and visitation schedules. I have several friends who have gone through divorces and separations and each one was different but I feel so bad for each and every one of them. One of my friends has now been divorced twice and she says that she will never go through that again. She constantly has issues with her first husband related to the care of their daughter. A couple of years ago, she ended up taking him to court to remove any parental custody rights that he had in order to protect their daughter. It's so sad because it's now been several years since father and daughter have seen each other. Unfortunately, it really is in the best interest of the child. In this case, the father rightfully lost the rights to visit his daughter but there are many cases where the father has no rights and needs to fight to see the child. National Family Solutions has offered low cost solutions in all areas of divorce, custody, visitation, and father's rights.
