I recently read a great little collection of short stories and poems in a book called A Heart Broken. This is a very touching book that started with a short story entitled "A Motherless Baby" that is a tragic story of of a young couple. I really don't want to give away to many details, but I will say that it's a very tragic story.
Dying for Justice is the next short story and it deals with the tangled emotion of a mother who must deal with the question of whether or not to sentence who were one remaining son to life in prison. There is a struggle between the wife and husband regarding how this should have been handled.
The next story is called Heartbroken, that is a story of a man and woman who fall in love and get engaged only to find out a secret just before the wedding. Great twist!
A Reckless Decision is the last short story in this book and it is about a love triangle and the impossible decisions that come along with it.
Finally, Okwar Onyeka treats us to a few of his poems about Love. If you like poetry, I think that you will like his work.
