Mind Body Image

I have been really struggling with losing weight for quite some time and I've finally realized that a big part of my problem is that I'm sabotaging my efforts by thinking and saying negative thoughts out loud. The Law of Attraction says that if you think negative thoughts, that you are bringing those thoughts to you. What I've been trying to do lately is not think about those things, but rather picture myself wearing skinny clothes and moving much easier. I think a big part of losing weight is a mental challenge and learning to love yourself no matter what your size. If you look in the mirror and you like what you see even if it isn't perfect, then you are overcoming that battle. Even skinny people have body issues.

When we don’t look good, we don’t feel good. Self image plays a big role in weight loss. I was thinking about this last night. When I went out for New Years Eve, I wore a beautiful red dress and guys were looking at me in a good way and that made me feel great. We have to learn to wear clothing that flatters our shapes. Don't wear overly baggy or overly tight clothes and always look in a full length mirror before leaving the house. A lot of things can be minimized or hidden by adjusting the clothes that you wear. If you are hippy like me, you have to be careful of tops that end just above your hips. Maybe you can try for something that is a little longer but still fitted enough to cover the hips. Wear clothes that are comfortable but not baggy. You can't be happy with yourself if you can’t breathe because your clothes are too tight.

Accept yourself as you are and try to focus more on making healthy choices rather than weight loss. The goal of weight loss is to be healthy so we are not cutting our lives short. Your primary concern when it comes to weight loss should be your health, but if you become a hot mama it's all the better.

Dress your best and think good positive thoughts. If you know you look your best, you will be putting thoughts of happiness into the universe and more positive things will begin to happen. As you lose weight, celebrate by buying a new outfit and then donating your bigger sizes to charity. You don't want to keep them around just in case you regain the weight. If your pants start getting a little tight, don't buy new ones. Simply go back and review your eating choices. More than likely you were making choices that weren't necessarily healthy and you can make a little change that will help you and your clothes feel better. Don't focus on the bad things, but all of the good things that are happening as you lose weight. Your clothes are fitting better, you aren't so tired, it's easier to walk, and you are getting compliments on your weight loss. Begin to visualize yourself thin and healthy and you will find a way to become thin and healthy.

That was a good post. If you are in the right mindset to lose some weight, set achievable goals and work your way to it slowly. Add one weightloss technique per week or so.
If you start to embark on a diet and hard fitness program at once, you are most likely not going to keep up with the routine for very long.
Being healthy and slim is a lifestyle. You have to change from within to change your body. And that is certainly not an easy task.

Good Luck!
