My earliest childhood memory

Earlier today I saw a spark from The 6 Senses of the Insane where she was asking us to write about our first memorable childhood experience.

Well, I have alot of things that I can remember as a child and some of them stand out but this is one that I think is truly one of the earliest that I remember. I had to be about 5 years old and all of my friends were having birthday parties on their birthday. For some reason my parents never did the birthday party thing, I don't know why but they didn't. Anyway, so a neighbor girl invited me to a birthday party and I went to that and must have had a blast because the next thing I know I had told everyone that my birthday was on a certain day and I was having a birthday party. My parents knew absolutely nothing about it until parents started showing up dropping off their kids. I was too young to be embarrassed but I think about it now and think "what was I thinking". I don't really remember how many people actually showed up, but I do remember it happening.

What is your earliest childhood memory? I'd love to hear from some of you.
