I just signed up for SocialSpark, which is the latest social networking and media marketing community on the web. SocialSpark prides itself on it's Code of Ethics which include:
-100% Audit-able In-Post Disclosure meaning that Disclosure Badges must be placed at the end of each post without exception. This badge shows that you are being paid for content in the event to prevent a conflict of interest.
-100% Transparency meaning that every participant in SocialSpark is made viewable to the public.
-100% Real Opinions(I think that is self explanatory.)
-100% Search Engine Friendly which means that Social Spark is designed to protect bloggers and advertisers from search engine penalties based on paid linking by using no follow attributes.
I am a member of a couple of other paid to blog sites but in terms of flexibility and options, I'll have to say Social Spark is one of the best. My favorite part of SocialSpark is the Spark Opportunities where you network with other bloggers to create exposure for your blog in exchange for a return link or other reward. I really do like this section, but I think that there should be a place for the advertiser to enter a link once they blog you back or complete their side of the transaction. You should not have to guess whether or not the advertiser has followed through.
SocialSpark is also a social networking outlet in that it helps you get the exposure you need for your blog by being able to view other bloggers and advertisers. As you are viewing bloggers you can opt to give props if you like a specific blogger, blog, opportunity and advertiser that you like or add to them to friends. Once you have added someone as a friend or given props, I'm not really sure what it does for you other than maybe having that person take a look at your blog and give them a higher rating. Click here for a link to the FAQ section.
I've been registered with Social Spark for a little over a week now and my only concern is that there doesn't seem to be alot of opportunities that are open and I am qualified for. I guess we'll have to see if that gets better as time goes on. I have only been able to take one sponsored post but have been able to get a couple of the sparks. Unfortunately, only one of the sparks has resulted in a link back as advertised.
Social Spark is still relatively new so I'm sure that there will be more opportunities open up. I hope you decide to check it out because the more bloggers in the network, the more people that will potentially see your site. So come on over and check it out. Don't forget to add me as a friend.
SocialSpark can help you monetize your blog, build community and drive traffic.
