There is a new FREE Blog Roll TEXT Link Exchange that I have decided to give a try. It's called 23blogs.com and it is a free 1:10 text link exchange that provides blogs the ability to cross-promote each other. Member blogs display a box containing text links in order to earn credits.
For new members, the benefits are as follows: You will receive 1000 credits when you sign up(as long as you place the html code within 24 hours). You earn 500 credits by referring other blogs, you get real-time statistics, and drives targeted traffic at no cost to you. When I first signed up, it was a little confusing as to who receives the 10 credits, whether it is the member who visits the sites or the site owner. That appears to have been corrected as it now says that all readers receive 10 credits for each site that they visit.
The idea is similar to that of Feedburner because they provide the html for a widget that displays a number of blogs on your site. 23blogs.com offers targeted traffic to your site based on the category you choose whether it is Finance, Parenting or Make Money Online. The real-time statistics provides the number of impressions(appears to be credits available), clicks in from other blogs, clicks out from your blog, and hits which is click out-click ins.
All sites are subject to approval and they do not allow sites that contain adult material. Spyware and Automatic Downloads are strictly prohibited as with most traffic sites.
Since I am always looking for new ways to get traffic to my blogs, I decided to give 23blogs.com a shot. I will keep you posted as to my results.
