Where do they go after the pageants are over?

Have you always wondered whatever happened to pageant contestants who became instant celebrities during and shortly thereafter a pageant. Such as
Candice Crawford, who was Miss Missouri 2008? She is about to graduate to pursue her career in journalism. Or Chasity Hardman of Georgia? She is going on to pursue her Masters in Music. Katie Stam, the current Miss America is from Seymour, Indiana a town about 30 minutes away from my hometown. She is currently pursuing a Communications career at University of Indianapolis.
