I never thought I'd see the day...
That they would have hurricane force winds in my hometown of Madison, Indiana. Yesterday, the remainder of Hurricane Ike merged with a storm from the North and created winds in excess of 80mph. These winds wreaked havoc on historic homes and streets and left thousands without electricity. Here are a few pictures of the damage as shown in the Madison Courier. Luckily, my family was at home and all is well with them. My parents ended up letting the Big Dog into the house while the winds were at their strongest but luckily everyone is ok. They were without electricity for awhile but the biggest damage that they received was that the heavy metal barn doors were blown off.

Ike made his rounds through the states that was for sure. Glad all are safe.
