I don't know about you, but I love 80's movies. One of my all time favorites is Sixteen Candles, but I loved all of them especially the ones starring members of the Brat Pack. Another one of my all time favorites was Ferris Bueller's Day Off starring Matthew Broderick. To me the kids in those movies were always so cool even in a cheesy way. With Sixteen Candles, I absolutely loved Long Duc Dong and I was so happy that Sam got the cute guy at the end. We all new she would, right? This is sad, but I can actually quote many of the lines from the movie because I've seen it so many times. I would have to say that I'm probably not alone in that.
Movies from the 80s are now classics, but they will always be fondly remembered by those of us who grew up watching them. I still love to watch them today.
For those of us who still loves the 80's, there is a big event that is coming up. In celebration of the the 25th Anniversary of the movie "War Games", there will be a one night showing that is available in select theaters nationwide. WarGames is a sci-fi thriller is about a hacker who unwittingly gets the chance to play a game with the US Military's war computer. Starring a young Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy, I'm really surprised that I don't remember it. (I loved Ally Sheedy in Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire)
The one night showing on July 24th will include never before seen interviews with the film’s creators and the cast and crew. Additionally, only at this one night event, we will get a sneak peek at the making of the sequel – WarGames: The Dead Code. I don't know about you, but I think I will have to go check it out.
