I just picked up Makenzee from the vet, and the vet told me that it is not Kidney Disease but was in fact a very bad Urinary Tract Infection. When they did the urinalysis, they said it was clean of toxins so his kidneys are fine. I am so happy and so thankful that I found a vet that did not stop when presented with the first results.

Glad to hear Makenzee is better. We just had an older, not in the best of health, cat join our clan. Hopefully, we can get him gentled enough that we can begin to handle him soon. It breaks my heart sometimes to see him as sick as he sometimes gets (and his dumps are most powerful). I'd like to get him to the vets for some medicine to ease his way, but as a fellow psychic told me, "He just came to you to retire."
Thanks for the comment about Makenzee. I hope you can get your older cat to settle in. It is truly heartbreaking to see them when they are sick but the least when can do is try to make their remaining life as easy and peaceful as possible. Makenzee has been here for me through some really bad times, so it my job to be there for them. Good for you for taking this older cat in. :)
