Book Review: Big Leagues

I had the pleasure of reading a new mystery novel over the last couple of days. Big Leagues was available as a FREE download on Amazon.co and is a fun novel by Jen Estes that is a perfect blend of mystery and baseball. This is the first book from the Cat McDaniel series and I thought it was great. Now, I'm looking forward to the second book which comes out October 1st. This book is very compelling and sort of reminds me of a Stephanie Plum type novel but with a sports theme. Cat is a very dynamic female character and I feel like this book can make even a non-baseball fan begin to appreciate the sport. I'm already a baseball fan, but this book makes me love baseball even more. I also really liked that there was even little bit of romance included in the storyline. Looking forward to the next book!
