What do you use to integrate your social media into one simple and easy to use program? I've used a couple of different things and I'm still trying to figure out what works best. I'm currently testing Hootsuite now and I like the idea so if I find that it works for me I will probably upgrade. What are your thoughts on Hootsuite?

Convenient pool supply shopping

Our hot tub at the hotel has been driving me nuts. The heater broke a little over a week ago and we thought it was caused by the motor not rotating the water as it should so we called a repairman as the motor was under warranty. Having always bought our equipment at a local company we decided to try them first. They sent out a repairman and he tried to fix it and then ended up breaking a pipe which in turn involved the water in the hotel being shut off. Luckily, we were able to get the pipe temporarily repaired and the water back on. That was a week ago, and it's still not fixed because today we find out that the heater itself is bad. The repairman who I have completely lost faith in quoted my maintenance guy a price of around $3000.00. Thinking that it was ridiculous, I decided to look into better pricing. I definitely found better pricing on everything from the heaters to the pool filters.

One of the companies that I found is an online company that offers pool chemicals and pool supplies at warehouse pricing.

If you are a fan of my Facebook page, then you know that I've been sick with a terrible sinus infection. Well, the good news is that I'm still trying to completely knock it and I'm feeling so much better, but the bad news is that I am SO FAR behind on emails and giveaway mailouts. Traveling nurses for the elderly

In my line of work, I see tons of different people every day and some of them are here for business some for pleasure and some are here visiting family or possibly having medical treatments at our local medical facilities. This week, I've seen a lot of the latter. I've had two cancer patients receiving treatment, one cancer patient visiting the Reiki doctors out at Cassadaga, a sweet older gentleman who's family was going to be coming in for a visit while he was having a surgery at the end of the month. My heart really goes out to these people who are not in the comforts of their own home and some of them don't even have family with them. The one cancer patient was here by herself and definitely needed some assistance. We tried the best that we could, but we are not trained to assist her and we really shouldn't be doing that. In those types of instances, it's nice to know that you can call a traveling nurse who can be of assistance. I remember, a few years back there was a lady that stayed in the hotel for a good while and she had another room for her nurse. As time went on, we discovered that the nurse was a traveling nurse who was here to assist her during her treatments.

Nursing World is a professional organization that has a great directory of Registered Nurses that are available in your area. It's nice to know that there is a resource out there for some of those people that I can refer to when things like this happen.

Recipe for my Vegetable Casserole

Every time that I have a work related pitch-in, I bring my fabulous vegetable casserole. The last time I made it, everyone wanted the recipe and I said it's not really a recipe but I figured I would go ahead and share it with you anyway. I usually make a fairly large dish of it because it's so good that I want it to last for awhile.

2 Bags of Your Choice of Frozen Veggies (my mom opts for fresh cabbage on New Years Day)
1 Pound of Velveeta Cheese
1 Sleeve of Ritz Crackers

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40minutes. Crackers should turn a nice golden brown.

Have you ever thought about giving fashionable glasses as a gift? Well, why not? If you're like me, you like wearing your glasses not only to improve your vision but also as an accessory. Intense Headache finally going away

For the last couple of days, I have been suffering extremely intense headaches in the back of my head and neck. Since it didn't seem to be going away and everyone kept suggesting that I go get my blood pressure checked; I decided to humor them and go to Walgreens after work. When the pharmacist checked my bp, she said that it was 100/76, which is actually low. Confused and frustrated, I asked what else could cause such an intense headache and she told me that it could actually be a sinus infection. I had thought about a sinus infection earlier in the week, but decided against it because I didn't appear to have any other symptoms. (I get sinus infections at leas twice a year and have for at least the last 20 years.) So after she mentioned the sinus infection, she suggested that I try some Sudafed or Wal-Phed and told me that if it was a sinus infection that should alleviate some of the symptoms fairly quickly. Well, guess what!! It worked!! My headache is basically gone and I feel better than I have all day. Thank you, Walgreens Pharmacy Manager!! Now, the bad news...I'm going to have to come up with the money to go to the doctor tomorrow and I have no insurance and only $15 in my purse. Lol, when it rains it pours...

At least I know what is going on now and I can take the Sudafed to deal with the headaches. Maybe I can hold off a week until I get paid. :) It sucks being broke!

In case you've noticed...

Well, in case you've noticed I haven't been on as much this week as normal because I've been having some major computer issues but the good news is that I ordered myself a brand new Dell laptop for my 40th birthday. I really hated to do it because money has been so tight lately, but I decided that I've got to think positive and live prosperously and the money will come. I ended up buying it on QVC because with easy pay I was able to get it for $150.00 a month for the next 5 months and would you believe that the same day I ordered it I got several people who are interested in having me build them a blog. It's amazing what the law of attraction and a lot of praying will do. :) Now that 2011 has come to an end, it's time to focus on the positive and move past the negative. I'm going to be working on a new vision board later this week to help me focus on my goals and be more clear on a plan of action.

So, in addition to buying myself a new laptop my birthday week brought on several events with some of my good friends, dinner with my parents at one of my favorite restaurants, several money making opportunities, and the realization that I really am one very lucky girl to have so many great friends and an amazing family.

The SLTS New Year New You Weightloss Challenge officially starts on 1/9/12. I had considered not running this because we haven't had a lot of people sign up, but I'm going to promote the heck out of it and hope for the best. Identity Fraud can be a Life Changer

Recently, I've been hearing more and more about identity theft on a local level. I know it's always been around, it's just never happened to anyone that I knew. However, that has now changed because just in the last two weeks I was made aware of two cases of identity theft and now these people are working through the challenges of trying to straighten this mess out. I found out about the last one on Friday and it appears that the grandson of a man that I know shares the same name as his grandfather. He then took on credit cards, loans, etc and went on a huge spending spree. See no-one caught on right away because he actually had id to prove that he was the name of the person on the cards, however the social security number attached to the cards belonged to his grandfather. Needless to say, this poor man is now dealing with a financial and personal nightmare. He did not catch on until he started getting collection letters, however if he had a credit monitoring service or at least checked his credit report every so often he would have found out what was going on. So, I would strongly advise you to get your free credit score and be aware of what's going on in your credit file. Identity theft could change your life forever and could threaten your financial security for years to come.

So You Want To Be A Blogger

So, I saw this new Blog Hop on a Board tonight and I thought it sounds kind of fun. She didn't give us a lot of details about what she wanted us to write about specifically but she told us to just post about our take on the subject. First of all, let me just say I have been blogging since 2006, and I started out just posting about my jewelry and then I realized "Wow!, You can actually make money just by blogging and talking about the things that you like or don't like." I learned everything I know from just clicking around the ads on blogs that I liked and then I was able to find what would work for me. Trust me, it was alot of clicking, alot of sign up forms for different affiliate companies and such. So from then, this blog changed more into what it is now. Basically me still blogging about life, daily experiences, different deals that I see, product reviews, giveaways, etc. SunEGrl Loves To Shop came about because I am a single girl on a very limited income and I needed a way to make some extra money to have more time to shop. :) So, I started posting about mystery shopping jobs and how to become a mystery shopper. I love posting about that! I love the fact that I can go and eat or shop for free and then go home and write a report and then get reimbursed for my expenses. Nowadays, I'm still blogging about Mystery Shopping but I also blog about other ways to make money online, giveaways, and different things that happen in my personal life. I'm sure over the next few months, I will move more into mommy blogging subjects in addition to the things that I blog about now but I guess you'll just have to wait and see. :)

So my advice to you is go ahead and just take that step. Register a blog name, choose a platform, and just start typing. The rest will come to you. Find some bloggers that you really like and start commenting on their posts. Bloggers love that!! Comments are how we know if we are doing a good job or not. After a couple of months, start trying to monetize your blog with different ads and just keep networking with other bloggers. I think Facebook is the best thing that has ever happened to the blog world because it allows us to be more spontaneous in our posts and it gives us instant gratification with comments and likes. If all else fails, just remember we were once in your shoes and we are here to help if you need us. I really do mean that too. When I started heavily promoting this blog a few weeks ago, I had around 65 facebook fans. I started networking with Sweet Pea Savings, Saving Said Simply, Saving Common Cents, and Sweeping in the USA, along with a few other bloggers and I know that I would not have almost 1900 fans if it wasn't for the help that they gave me in the beginning. In the last couple of weeks, I've joined some groups and met some amazing new bloggy friends and I've been in a few Giveaway Hops that have generated a large number of fans but I know that those original girls were there for me in the beginning and that means so much.

This guest post from Lenny Mcknight.The last time I found a concert that I really wanted to go to the tickets were sold out before I even had a chance to really look and see how much they would be or where I would like to sit in the venue. So while I was on the Ticketmaster web site I decided to sign up for some notifications so this won’t happen again. I want to be poised at my keyboard the moment those tickets go on sales so that I will be ready to hit “purchase” before everyone else and hopefully get some great seats for the concert. I think one thing that will help me is that I got a new internet connection. I was using dial up but now I am using satellite internet. You should see the difference between satellite vs dial up internet. My new internet is better and so I think this time when those Taylor Swift concert tickets go on sale I will be set and ready to pounce at exactly Ten o’clock AM. I wasn't aware until just recently how many different types of life insurance that there actually are. We had a presentation at one of my local networking groups and the lady was talking about the different options available. My Top 3 memorable world events from 2011

With 2011 winding down, I start thinking about the memorable things that have happened this year both personally and worldwide. I will start with the worldwide events.

For me, the Royal Wedding has to be BY FAR the most memorable event of the year. It brought back memories of when I was a little girl and I watched Princess Diana marry Prince Charles and seeing Kate marry Will made every little girl's dream of one day becoming a princess finally come true. She's just an ordinary woman who met and fell in love with her Prince Charming. Can't get much better than that!

The second most memorable event for me would be the end of the Space Shuttle program. Being from Central Florida and having formerly worked at KSCVC, I have been as close as one person could be to a launch and it was really sad for me to see it end. The third most memorable event for me would have to be the death of Elizabeth Taylor. It was kind of the end of the Old Hollywood Era that I love so much. Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a huge fan of Old Hollywood (Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, etc) and Elizabeth Taylor fit right in with that.

The fourth most memorable for me and not for good reasons was the Casey Anthony trial. I felt very strongly about her being guilty and to see her being let free to possibly get pregnant and kill another child sickened me. I still feel very strongly that we need to abstain from buying any books or watching any movies about Casey Anthony.

Merry Christmas to you and yours

I hope everyone is enjoying this Christmas Day. It's in the 80's here in Central Florida and I had a fabulous Christmas Dinner up at my mom and dad's house. My brother drove in on Friday night and I hadn't seen him in over 4 years, so it was nice to have all us in one house for a change. However, it would have been even better if I had kids here this Christmas. Oh well, there's always next year and hopefully I will be closer to adoption by that time. At least I have my boys to keep me company and they sure did enjoy their Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers turkey dinner. Now, they are sleeping in their chair. :)

Gestures of GoodWill

This time of year is especially hard for families in need so it's always nice to see people doing things to help those that are less fortunate. Whether it's the Central Florida families that are homeless due to job loss, children in the foster care system or simply those who find themselves on hard times it's nice to see so many people giving back. As you know, I am in the foster program so I frequently browse Freecycle.org in my community looking for people who are getting rid of kids clothes or toys; so can you imagine my surprise and delight when I started seeing a large number of posts for people offering NEW toys for both boys and girls. At first I thought it was just one person that maybe bought too much or no longer needed the toys for some reason, but then I noticed that there were multiple user ids posting about new toys, stocking stuffers, wrapping paper, etc. Now I never saw a post go out suggesting that people do this, but it appears to me that these people just brought it on themselves to help make someones Christmas a little brighter. When I realized what was happening, it actually brought tears to my eyes because I can only imagine how someone who is really struggling might feel if they saw those posts offering FREE gifts. So, from the bottom of my heart, I applaud those people that took it upon themselves to help make Christmas a little brighter for some of the children in our community. I received some coupons from the Simply Orange Juice Company for a FREE 59fl oz Simply Orange, Simply Apple, or Simply Grapefruit juice. They asked me to share these with my readers, so I'm going to do a little giveaway.

Since I had never tried Simply beverages, I did a little research and found that they are a gently pasteurized, not-from-concentrate orange juice that never has water, sugar or preservatives added. For these assignments you CAN NOT be an employee or a former employee of Archstone. You CAN NOT be a resident of any of the Archstone properties. You MUST be 21 or older.

For these projects you will need to:
*Make a pre-visit phone call to set an appointment for a property visit and tour. (To be completed 2 days prior to location visit.)
*When visiting the location you will portray yourself as a person interested in moving into a new apartment.

*Sample scenarios that you may follow will be supplied upon being scheduled to complete the project.
