Frugal Living Tips from Foximus

I love finding new blogs for many reasons but one of the main reasons is that I love learning new things but I'm also a little bit nosey and I like to see what other bloggers are blogging about. Jason and Aimee at Foximus talk about all kinds of Frugal Living Tips including saving, budgeting, student finance, making money, running a business, and anything else that has to do with frugal living. Since Jason is also a first time homeowner having purchased his first home in June of this year, I found his posts on the homebuying waiting game and the excitement of seeing the SOLD sign particularly interesting. I love my house but the reality of going into debt for such a large amount was a little scary and I worry every month if I'm going to have enough to pay the mortgage. Many of you know that this blog started out mainly as a way to promote my Ebay Store and also make a little money on the side. If it wasn't for that, I would never have been able to afford my down payment. After buying the house, it became necessary for me to take some tips from many of the frugal bloggers. Some of the frugal changes that I have made are below:

>>Paying my mortgage on a bi-weekly basis.
>>Working to become debt free.
>>Cutting and using coupons. (I participate in the CVS and Walgreens game every week.)
>>Research to find the best deals.
>>One of the other big changes that I made was going green and buying a very energy efficient Heat Pump and switching to compact florescent bulbs. My biggest electric bill so far this year was last month and it was $78.00. When I checked with Progress Energy before buying my home they told me that the average bill was $150.00.

As you can see, frugal living tips really can affect your bottom line and they can make it easier to survive these tough economic times.
